About

Who We Are

Our Home of Hope, Inc. is a licensed 30-bed personal care home serving adults in need of a caring, supportive living arrangement. Our residents are family.

Our Home of Hope has been in operation since 2001 (formerly Cherry Street Guest Home 2001-2017). Roxanne Simonson had been with the home since it began in 2001, transitioning from owner to Administrator in 2017 when Our Home of Hope was established as a 501c3 non-profit. In December 2020, Christina Bomgardner joined Our Home of Hope and is currently the Administrator.

Our Mission

To exhibit Christian compassion by providing a warm, welcoming home-like environment to those individuals in need of supportive care in an atmosphere of respect and dignity.

Our Values

That every individual has been created by God, and is deserving of respect and dignity.  We desire to provide an environment that fosters this.

That due to their limitations, those we serve are often economically disadvantaged.  Therefore, a primary focus of our efforts is to reach out to those who may not be able to afford the care provided by other providers.

That we seek to make a positive contribution to the community of Columbia, and conduct ourselves in a way that is considerate and respectful to our neighbors.

That our staff would be seen as gifted members of our family, deserving of encouragement, compassion and respect.

A Story Of Hope

This video was produced in July 2019 to show the transformation of the home in the past few years. With the help of many generous donors, both private and companies, Our Home of Hope, Inc. is able to provide a wonderful place to live for 30 people.

But, there is still work to be done! Watch the video to find out more.
